WCSSAA Junior: Tuesday Results & Standings

Here's Tuesday's results from the WCSSAA junior league:

Bluevale 50, WCI 26
The Knights continue to roll, improving to 4-0 with a win over their cross-town rivals.  Hannah Fishbein poured in 18 big points for the Knights, while teammate Sarah Hamm also added a double-digit effort with 10.  Maggie Birch had 11 for WCI, while Melissa Eggleston scored 6.

Cameron Heights 31, Eastwood 20
In a low scoring affair, the Gaels get it done on the road.  Ashanti Lewis and Cathy Bekhyt had 7 each in the win, while ECI received 4 each from Kayla Shantz and Reihanne Scott.  With the fact that many "AAAA" squads are rebuilding this year, the win could prove big in the Gaels' quest for a CWOSSA berth.

Waterloo-Oxford 60, Galt 17
The Crusaders continue to impress, this time posting a big win on the road.  Alisha Glendinning and Maddie Horst had big games once again, scoring 14 each for W-O.  Ashlyn Beckman put in 11 of the Ghosts' 17 points.

Grand River 42, SJAM 33
Speaking of 4-0, the Grand River Renegades improved to that mark with a victory against the Highlanders, who drop to 0-4.  To be fair to SJAM, a couple of their losses have been to the "upper tier" teams in the league so I expect to see them crack the win column soon.  At any rate, Anna Milanovic (16) and Leticia Skeete (15) led the way for GRCI; Katie Fowler responded with 9 for SJAM.

Huron Heights 29, KCI 27
In a battle between two AAA clubs, the Huskies pick up a big home win against the Raiders (now 3-2).  Rachel Wilkinson (8) and Emily Bidinosti (5) were the high Huskies on this afternoon, while Christiana Koebel continued her strong play for KCI with 16.  She has now scored 63 of KCI's 124 points on the year --- opposing coaches and players take note.

Preston 31, Glenview Park 17
The Panthers played well on the defensive end and came away with the win in this battle of the Panthers.  Ashley White also had a huge game offensive for PHS, pouring in 17 points.  Teammate Aubrey Formica added 6, while for GPSS, Tigist Wame and Jocelyn Kivell had 4 each.

Elmira 42, Forest Hts 17
Elmira cruises past the Trojans at home, thanks to 14 from Krista Weins.  Melita Trtovac had 6 to lead FHCI in this one, but it wasn't near enough as they drop to 0-4 on the year.

Jacob Hespeler 36, Southwood 21
The JHSS Hawks continue to fly, this time posting another league win by a solid margin.  Taylor Dennis and Brooklynn Wright had 10 each for the Hawks in this one.
