There were only three games on the D10 Senior Boys' schedule yesterday, but that didn't mean there weren't a couple of high-profile contests on the calendar.
In fact, two of the three games were played between ranked CWOSSA teams.
The biggest of those, naturally, was between undefeated league rivals St. James and Bishop Macdonell. The Lions (CWOSSA #5) topped the Celtics (CWOSSA #11) bv a 59-52 final score, after trailing by 3 points (29-26) at halftime. Joey Hasson had 19 and Mitch Marquis 17 for the Lions, while Lukas Wood notched 21 and Chris Poloniato 14 for the Celts.
JF Ross, meanwhile, held off the Centre Wellington 65-63 in the other game between ranked squads. Josh McEachern (21) and Ty Uhrig (12) led the way for the Falcons, while Andrew Folkerson had 15 and Harris Cornett 10 for Ross.
Also on Thursday, Lourdes won their second consecutive game, 61-43 over Guelph CVI. Craig Valeriote had a game-high 26 points for Lourdes in that one.
