WCSSAA Senior Girls Basketball All-Stars: Anagnostopoulos Named MVP

WCI guard Kaylee Anagnostopoulos, the league's leading scorer this past season who helped her team secure yet another berth in the OFSAA "AAAA" basketball championships, was named as the league's MVP as announced by league officials recently.

League champions Grand River had three combined selections on the first or second team, while their other two starters were honourable mention selections.

Anagnostopoulos, a Grade 12 guard, will be joined on the first team by the following players:

Maya Day, Grand River (Gr. 11 G)
Nyamuoch Teny, Grand River (Gr. 11 G/F)
Taylor White, Southwood (Gr. 12 G/F)
Candice Wright, Jacob Hespeler (Gr. 12 F)

Second-team All-Stars were as follows:

The above players will play in WCSSAA's Girls-Boys doubleheader, scheduled for April 1st at WCI.  The girls will play at 6pm, followed by the boys at 8pm.
