WCSSAA Junior: Tuesday Results

It was a full day of WCSSAA Junior action on Tuesday, so let's get right to the recaps:

Eastwood 50, Glenview Park 43
In a battle between ranked CWOSSA teams, the Rebels snuck past GPSS on the road.  Layee Jabateh and Prabhjit Sangha keyed Eastwood's balanced attack, while Huzaifa Hassan had a game-high 14 for the Panthers with Luke Kivell adding 9.

WODSS 47, Elmira 16
This edition of the "Battle of the Barns" went to the Crusaders at home, who were backed by 19 points from Cam Mehring.  Christian Payne added 9 for WODSS, while Ethan Bell had 9 to lead Elmira.

Grand River 46, Galt 44 (OT)
They needed overtime to do it, but the Rens snuck past GCI in Cambridge.  Luka Ninkovic poured in 19 points in the win, with Abdei Hamad and Zarko Ubiparip adding 9 each.  Muhammad Irsalan (14) and Sullivan Murphy (12) were the top Ghost scorers.

SJAM 71, Jacob Hespeler 14
CWOSSA #1-ranked SJAM posted a big win on Tuesday, with Maxsim Koprivica being the high scorer (14 points).  Brayden Weyers had 3 for JHSS.

Bluevale 57, Cameron Heights 40
Another battle between ranked teams went to the Knights in impressive fashion at home.  Greg Smith (14) and Nick Mylinski (10) were both in double-figures for Bluevale, while Martin Gjorgiev had 10 and Ivan Rocafor 8 for the Gaels.

Forest Heights 61, Preston 30
The Trojans moved to 3-0 with a big win against Preston.  Branko Damjainovic led the way for FHCI with 17, while Isaac Mapp had 8 for the Panthers.

Huron Heights 54, KCI 38
Speaking of undefeated teams, Huron Heights is also 3-0 after a home win over the KCI Raiders.  Kuel Thomas, who is averaging 21.3 PPG in league play, posted 20 in this win for Huron, with Maiwand Faqiri adding 8.  Brandon Aultman had 10 for the Raiders.
