Senior Boys: Highlanders Dominant at Knights-Vikings Shootout

Even with key contributor Brett Parrot away on vacation, the SJAM Highlanders had limited difficulty coming away with the tournament crown this past weekend at the Knights-Vikings Shootout, co-hosted by Waterloo schools Bluevale & WCI.

The 'Landers handled rival WCI in the championship game, 65-44, backed by 26 points from Nedim Hodzic and 16 more by Simon Petrov.

The duo averaged 18.3 PPG (Hodzic) and 17.3 PPG (Petrov) during SJAM's four games in the tournament, all of which they won by double figures.

Here are the results from the two days of competition.  The winner of each of the four pools advanced to semifinal action, while all remaining teams played one additional game against the same placed finisher in another pool:
