The CWOSSA #5-ranked St. James Lions took home the title over the weekend at St. David's annual "Timmy Rose Memorial" tournament, posting impressive victories in their three games.
The Lions handled Cambridge Jacob Hespeler (65-17) in the opening round, before knocking off Kitchener Huron Heights (59-33) in round two. The championship final went down as a 52-22 win over the host St. David Celtics.
St. James is now a combined 10-0 in league and tournament play.
After two league games this week, the Lions are participating in the annual "WCI-BCI Shootout", where they'll be matched up against Grand River (CWOSSA #4) during pool play. That game is at 2pm Friday at WCI.
