WCSSAA: Tuesday Picks

Tuesday's WCSSAA schedule is quite unique --- in fact, the 6 "AAAA" schools are playing each other while the 8 "AAA" WCSSAA schools are all matched up as well.

Needless to say, some of Tuesday's results may loom large when it comes time to tally the final standings (and possibly break some ties --- therefore, CWOSSA implications as well).

Anyways, I will try to rebound from a relatively disappointing 4-3 day last Thursday with the following picks:

WCSSAA Picks Record10-4 (.714)

KCI (1-1) at Jacob Hespeler (1-1)
My Pick:  KCI
Not much separates these teams ---- both had close single-digit losses to Bluevale, while both also picked up "bye wins" courtesy of Waterloo-Oxford.  I'll pick the Raiders in a close one here, provided they can handle Brooklyn Wright on the inside.

WCI (2-0) at Forest Heights (2-0)
My Pick:  WCI
The Trojans have already doubled their win total from a season ago, but their schedule gets a whole lot tougher starting today with the WCI Vikings paying a visit to West Kitchener.  Look for another solid WCI victory here today.

Huron Heights (0-2) at Southwood (0-2)
My Pick:  SSS
Edge to the homecourt Sabres in this battle between teams looking for their first win.

Preston (1-1) at Galt (1-1)
My Pick:  PHS
A nice rivalry game here in Cambridge that I might check out if I have the time.  I'll go with the visiting Panthers, who I think have too many scoring options for the Ghosts to handle.

Glenview Park (0-2) at Elmira (2-0)
My Pick:  EDSS
The Elmira Lancers should pick up their 3rd win of the year here today, provided they aren't looking ahead to a battle with (also undefeated) Bluevale on Thursday.

Eastwood (1-1) at Grand River (1-1)
My Pick:  ECI
Always a hard-fought rivalry between these schools, but I look for ECI to rebound and pick up a road win today over the Renegades.

Cameron Heights (2-0) at SJAM (0-2)
My Pick:  CHCI
Look for the Gaels to keep their win streak alive on the road in Waterloo today.

Bye Win:  Bluevale (will improve to 3-0)
