D10 Thursday: Lourdes Crusaders Sweep Spartans

Here's the rundown from the D10 Senior and Junior leagues, starting as usual with senior action.....

Senior
Lourdes 50, Centennial 26
My Pick:  OLOL

No trouble for the Crusaders in this rare "noonish" start.  Kiera Bunnaman led the way for Lourdes with 14 points, while Chelsey Mathieu added in 12.  Charlotte Clarke, CCVI's top scorer on the year, was the top scorer on this night with 10.

Centre Wellington 55, JF Ross 44
My Pick:  CWDHS

As I thought they might, the Falcons get past the Royals on the road.  Erica McFadden pumped in 27 points, which is the most any D10 player has scored this season.  Jamie Janssen added in 13 more for the winners, while Julia Robertson (12), Vanessa Martini (8) and Kelly Dunk (8) were tops for Ross.

Bishop Mac 65, St. James 29
My Pick:  BMac

No trouble again for the Celtics as they crushed the Lions at home.  Their balanced attack was led by 10 points from Rebecca Keil and 9 from Alison Morris.  Erica Zen was tops for St. James, with 8 points.

Guelph CVI 64, Orangeville 29
My Pick:  GCVI

Sierra McLaren pumped in 16 while Alyshia Warnholtz added in 14 as the Gaels improved to 3-1 by handling the ODSS Bears.  Tori Quinn was again the leading scorer for Orangeville, contributing 7 on this night.

Junior
Lourdes 50, Centennial 34
The Lourdes Crusaders continue to roll, this time taking out the CCVI Spartans.  Lourdes received double-digit performances from 3 players en route to the win ---- Victoria Brombal (15), Monica Trimble (11) and Cecilia Hudecki (11).  Hannah Ferguson (12) and Micayley Cromwell (10) led the way for CCVI.

St. James 60, Bishop Mac 39
The Lions continue to own D10 competition; they improve to 4-0 and are winning games by an average of 25+ points.  Brittany Gazzola led the way on this night for St. James with 16; Ashley Benham also contributed 14.  Rebecca Morris was tops for the Celts with 15.

Guelph CVI 52, Orangeville 26
Several big individual performances in this one ---- Jamie Young led GCVI and all scorers with 23 points.  Katie Strongman added in 14 for the winners, while Evelyn Burgess had 15 for the Bears.

JF Ross 32, Centre Wellington 29
In a battle of winless "AAAA" schools, the Royals pick up their first win of the season.  Caleigh Cargo-Froom (8) and Ciara Fragomeno (5) were tops for JF Ross, while Abby Humber (10) and Madison Fennell (9) were the high scorers for the Falcons.
