On the senior side, the top-ranked Wolverines had little trouble with Palmerston Norwell, pulling away for a 56-30 victory. Nicole Bauman poured in 26 points while Mikayla Pletsch added 11 for WHSS; Laura Rumph led the way for Norwell with 14.
Wellington Heights will advance to "AA" CWOSSA next week in Guelph.
The junior game was decided by a similar margin, with #4 Centre Dufferin (who had upset the #1 team, Wellington Heights in the semifinals), falling to the #2 seed, Westside, by a 50-27 score.
Hailey MacDonald had a game-high 18 points for Westside, while Stephanie Kaehli led the way for the Royals with 16.
Westside, an AAA school, will play Owen Sound West Hill for a berth in the CWOSSA tournament. Centre Dufferin (AA) will advance automatically to next week's event in Guelph.
