To nobody's surprise, PG Maddy Horst (Waterloo-Oxford) has been named MVP of the WCSSAA Senior Girls' basketball league.
Horst guided the Crusaders to an undefeated regular season, and a WCSSAA playoff championship, the first Senior Girls' title in school history.
Horst's teammate, Tess Pettigrew, also joined her on the first team, while one of WO's starting forwards, Alisha Glendinning, was named as a second-team All-Star.
The team that Waterloo-Oxford defeated in the WCSSAA finals, Jacob Hespeler, also placed two players on the first team, twin forwards Candice and Courtney Wright.
Jacob Hespeler PG Jasmine Ramcharan was named as an honourable mention selection.
The first-team all-stars were rounded out by Julia Curran (Bluevale) and Kaylee Anagnostopoulos (WCI).
Second team selections aside from Glendinning included Natalie Bishop (Bluevale), grade ten forward Nyamuoch Teny (Grand River), Nicole Cressman (Elmira) and Danielle Sauve (WCI).
