Senior: Grand River Comes Back, Holds off St. Mary's In Exhibition

The Grand River Renegades got a great performance by PG Miro Iliev down the stretch yesterday against the St. Mary's Eagles in an exhibition matchup, overcoming a 54-45 deficit at the end of the third quarter to pull out a 69-67 win.

Among his several fourth quarter baskets, Iliev hit a three-pointer with around three minutes to go (to tie the game at 65), and also added a couple of big steals on the defensive end.

Both teams, who are expected to be two of the CWOSSA "AAAA" contenders this season, will participate in the annual Heinbuch Classic this coming weekend in Waterloo.
