WCSSAA Senior: Quarterfinals

Like the junior side of things, it's the top 8 teams playing on the senior side of the WCSSAA playoffs as well.

As for your CWOSSA breakdown (2 AAA & 2 AAAA teams advancing):

AAA:  WODSS, Jacob Hespeler, KCI
(This means that if KCI loses to WCI, WODSS & JHSS advance to CWOSSA)

AAAA:  Bluevale, WCI, Grand River, Cameron Heights
(GRCI and/or CHCI will need to win their quarterfinal game, otherwise BCI & WCI will be the CWOSSA representatives)

(Note:  Southwood is "AA")

And here are today's games:

(8) Southwood at (1) WODSS
RS:  WODSS 59, SSS 42
Mark's Pick:  WODSS by 24
Tough task for the Southwood Sabres today, heading over to Baden to do battle with the top-ranked Crusaders.  That said, a lot of members of the Sabres' roster have some good playoff experience from the last year or two which might allow them to hang around for a bit.  Eventually, look for Maddy Horst & the 'Saders to advance through.

(7) Cameron Heights at (2) Bluevale
RS:  BCI 66, CHCI 53
Mark's Pick:  BCI by 11
With the Gaels (seemingly) back at full-strength, they've been able to do some solid work on the offensive end, scoring 50+ PPG in their last four --- which included games against the top two teams in the league, WODSS & CHCI.  It's been shutting teams down which has been the issue, and Bluevale presents one of the most potent offenses in WCSSAA.  As such, I'll roll with the Knights here at home but it's definitely a game to keep an eye on.

(6) Grand River at (3) Jacob Hespeler
RS:  JHSS 52, GRCI 30
Mark's Pick:  JHSS by 16

The Rens will certainly have to figure out a way to stop Jasmine Ramcharan, as she's torched the Rens for 29 & 20 points respectively in the two games that they've played (tournament & regular season).  I think it will be closer than last week's game, but I look for the Hawks to advance here.

(5) KCI at (4) WCI
RS:  Did Not Play
Mark's Pick:  WCI by 6
After a few WCSSAA finals matchups between these clubs in recent memory, they'll play a quarterfinal tilt today at WCI as they resume their rivalry.  I look for a defensive battle here today, but slight edge going to the Vikes as their youthful roster has really come together down the stretch.
