All six teams in the D8 senior circuit and the top 6 (of 8) teams in the junior division will begin the playoff grind this afternoon.It's a pretty quick turnaround for teams, with the opening round today, semifinals on Wednesday, and then the D8 championship final on Friday (at the highest senior seed).

Today's Games
A couple of interesting games on the D8 playoff schedule for today, with Woodland CHS providing the best chance for a "lower seed" to advance.
In junior, the B-Division champ Cavaliers will face St. Mary's, who were 4th in the "A" division. During the regular season, these squads battled to a 2-point game.
The senior Cavs are playing St. David, a team that they defeated once (in two tries) during the regular season.
In terms of the other two games, I expect both (MDCSS @ SDCSS - Junior; RMC @SBCSS - Senior) to be decided by a comfortable margin.
