Nebojsa Djeric hit the go-ahead free-throws with :48 left as the Cameron Heights Golden Gaels went on to win the CWOSSA "AAAA" Senior Crown with a 54-49 win over the Guelph JF Ross Royals.
The Royals held a 49-48 lead when Ross' Mike Friesen missed a three-point attempt from the corner that would have put Ross up 4 with 1:00 to go. Instead, the Gaels came back the other way and Djeric was fouled on a put back attempt.
Cameron would go on to tack on 4 more free-throws in the waning seconds to sew things up.
Djeric had 21, Vedran Dmitrovic 14 and Amjed Osman 9 for the Gaels. Cameron's starters played the entire game, save for a few seconds before halftime where Osman came out (to protect him from picking up a third foul).
Evan Karl had 17 points and 10 rebounds for Ross, and Shamlo Saeed had 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
