The OSCVI Falcons capped a perfect 13-0 season with a 54-45 win over Flesherton's Grey Highlands Lions on Thursday in the final of the Bluewater Athletic Association senior boys basketball championship.
"We were up 20 at the half and they really fought back in the second half," said Falcons coach Lee Jacques. "They certainly made it kind of interesting there for a while"
Kevin Bunn led the Falcons with 16 points, while Jason McMullin and Ben Ewasko each had 10.
Toby Hall led the Lions with 16.
OSCVI downed the Kincardine District Knights 54-40 in the semifinals.
Ewasko led the Falcons with 14 points, while Bunn and McMullin each had 13.
Grey Highlands beat Sacred Heart in the semifinals. Game details were unavailable.
The junior Falcons also went 13-0 this season including a 55-36 win over Grey Highlands in the final.
OSCVI's Nathan Curry led all scorers with 20 points, while Lauchlin Elder had 12 and Braden Boley added 11.
The Falcons beat Kincardine District 52-20 in the semifinals.
Curry had 23 points, while Oliver Clark and Elder each had eight points.
Grey Highlands also beat Sacred Heart in the semifinals. Details are unavailable.
Both Falcons squads advance to the CWOSSA AA finals, which are set for Feb. 25 in Guelph.
