In WCSSAA championship action on Wednesday evening, the junior Forest Heights Trojans used a 24-2 run that covered parts of the first and second quarters to seize control (that they would never relinquish) and go on to defeat the Cameron Heights Golden Gales 55-45.
Juwan Miller again neared triple-double territory for the Trojans, pouring in 25 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Fuad Barucija poured in 19 points, including five three-pointers off the bench.
Jason Thompson had 14 points and 7 rebounds for Cameron.
Things went much better for the Gaels' senior squad in the second half of the doubleheader, as they used a strong second half performance to help them defeat the SJAM Highlanders 58-48.
Adnan Shah poured in 21 points, including 4-for-6 shooting from beyond the arc, while Vedran Dmitrovic and Stefan Cucak had 13 each. Amjed Osman scored 6 but added 9 assists for Cameron.
Ben Reyhani had 17 for SJAM, while Theshawn Barry had 10, Edem Ame 8, and Quinn Turner 8.

Junior Pool A: St. Mary's, Forest Heights, Centre Wellington
Junior Pool B: Cameron Heights, JF Ross, St. John's
