Two of my current "top 5" CWOSSA teams, the Grand River Renegades and the JF Ross Royals, travelled to the GTA this past weekend to test themselves against some different competition.
The Royals competed in the Brampton Centennial Winter Classic, and came away with 1 win and 2 losses by four points or less:
JF Ross 76, Brampton Centennial "B" 32

QF: Martingrove 56, JF Ross 52
JFR: Vlad Vamanu 15
Friendly: St. Augustine 56, JF Ross 53
JFR: Andrew Folkerson, 15
Meanwhile, the Rens advanced through to the championship semifinals at the annual "Hoopdome" tournament, but fell to a very talented JC Richardson (Ajax) team. Their results went as follows:
Grand River 66, Jean Vanier (Tor.) 45
Weston CI 40, Grand River 34
Grand River 64, David & Mary Thomson 52
