Senior: Lourdes Goes 2-1 at Small School Showcase

The Lourdes Crusaders, the #5 seed entering the tournament, went 2-1 over the weekend at the Small School Showcase co-hosted by schools in Burlington and Oakville.

Lourdes defeated Pretty River Academy (Collingwood) 54-42 in the opening round, before being taken out in the quarterfinals by #4 GL Roberts of Oshawa in a 54-52 squeaker.

The Crusaders rebounded to close out their tournament with a 50-40 win over #9 Barrie Central.

Things didn't go so well for the Walkerton Raiders, who were assigned the #8 seed as a late tournament fill-in.  The Raiders went 0-3, dropping games to Barrie Central (81-47), Aldershot (57-53) and King's Christian of Oakville (61-43).
