D10: Thursday Picks

YTD:  32-5 (.865)

With just three games remaining (including today) for D10 Senior Girls' teams, there's still a lot to be decided as far as the league's standings go.

That said, today's games feature a unique schedule --- 1st plays 2nd, 3rd plays 4th, 5th plays 6th, and 7th plays 8th.  In other words, the playoff picture may become a lot clearer after the dust settles today.

Lourdes (6-5) at St. James (4-7)
My Pick:  OLOL by 10
These teams played a very close game last time at Lourdes (a 38-34 OLOL win).  I'm expecting another hard-fought battle here, but a win by the Crusaders will ensure they finish no worse than 5th in the standings and I think they'll do just that.

Centennial (9-2) at Bishop Mac (10-1)
My Pick:  BMAC by 7
A Celtic victory today will officially lock up first place in the D10 standings, as they'll be 2 games clear of CCVI with two games remaining (and own the head to head tiebreak).  They're tough at home so I'll go with them here.

Orangeville (0-11) at CWDHS (1-10)
My Pick:  CWDHS by 11
The Falcons have had some near upsets over the past couple of weeks, so they may be getting hot at the right time.  I like them at home today over Orangeville.

JF Ross (7-4) at Guelph CVI (7-4)
My Pick:  GCVI by 4
The Gaels are always tough at home, and I think they'll be able to outlast the Ross Royals in this battle for third place in the league standings.
