Only one game on Tuesday's WCSSAA Senior Girls' schedule was decided by a single-digit margin --- it was an important one, however, as the Southwood Sabres vaulted into 6th place in the league standings by getting past Elmira, 46-38 on the road.
Taylor White notched 20 points for the Sabres, with Megan Cole adding 10. Nicole Cressman (15) and Karley Sider (11) led the way for the Lancers.
Here's the other action from Tuesday:
Cameron Hts. 43, Forest Hts. 21
My Pick: CHCI by 38
The full Gaels' roster got plenty of playing time as they handled the Trojans here. Andjela Stankovic (12) and Jovana Zubic (9) led the scoresheet for Cameron, while Zohra Karimi had 8 to top FHCI.
WODSS 42, Eastwood 12
My Pick: WODSS by 11
Wasn't any trouble at home for the Crusaders as they breezed past the Rebels. Tess Pettigrew had a solid game for WO, pouring in 21 points, while Mel Samuel was the high scorer for ECI with 6.
Grand River 70, Huron Hts. 27
My Pick: GRCI by 35
As expected, no trouble for the Rens in this one. Nyamuoch Teny (19) and Nancy Michael (16) led the scoring for the Rens, while Kiana Chin had a game-high 20 points for the Huskies.
Jacob Hespeler 51, Galt 35
My Pick: JHSS by 18
The Hawks kept their perfect record intact by handling their Cambridge rivals at home. Candice Wright (16) and Shianne Riggan (15) topped the Hespeler scoring, while Erin Wilson was the leading scorer for Galt with 13.
KCI 48, Preston 32
My Pick: KCI by 19
The Raiders moved back to .500 with the win over PHS. Frances Campbell had 12 and Alia Hazineh 9 for KCI in this one, while Preston was led by Claire Gagne who had 7.
WCI 42, SJAM 18
My Pick: WCI by 24
The Vikes got this pick exactly correct with a solid defensive effort against SJAM. Danielle Sauve scored 13 to lead the way for WCI, while Milica Koprivica had 7 for the 'Landers.
