WCSSAA Junior: 'Landers Still Unbeaten; Hawks Win Big Cambridge Battle

The SJAM Highlanders are still unbeaten in WCSSAA Junior Girls' Basketball play, moving to 10-0 following a 39-25 victory over rival WCI.

Surprisingly, that margin of victory was actually SJAM's closest game to this point this year.

Emily Domerchie led the way for SJAM with 8 points, while Ramla Abdalla had a game-high 9 points for the Vikes.

The other big game on Tuesday saw Jacob Hespeler move to 9-1 following a tight 34-31 victory over Galt (now 7-3).  Charlotte Clifford poured in 20 points in the win for the Hawks, while Juley Dunlop also had a nice performance for the Ghosts, scoring 14.

Here's a look at the other results from Tuesday:

Glenview Park 44, Bluevale 24
Huge win for GPSS as they get right back into the playoff conversation.  Darcy Simmons poured in 20 for the Panthers, with Didimo Otong adding 7.  Tristya Elford led the Knights with 6.

Preston 38, KCI 17
The Panthers did their part on Tuesday to improve their positioning in the logjam that is the middle of the WCSSAA standings.  Brooke Davidson had 10 for the Panthers, with Hailey Evelyn adding 6.  Cassia Gohl led the Raiders with 6 points.

Cameron Hts. 52, Forest Hts. 15
Cameron pulled out a big win on Tuesday at FHCI, backed by 12 points each from Zoe Hoyte and Tamara Grahovac.  Morgan Berg again led the Trojans, this time with 9.

WODSS 52, Eastwood 14
The Crusaders pretty much locked up a top three spot in the WCSSAA standings with this win on Tuesday.  Emily Glendinning had 17 and Rachael Beitz 10 for the Crusaders, while Danielle Gardiner scored 5 for Eastwood.

Huron Hts. 37, Grand River 29
An important win for the Huskies here, thanks to 14 points from Jamila Beckford and 6 by Brooklyn Cole.  Angelica Lloyd had 9 for the Rens.
