It was a nice field assembled for Our Lady of Lourdes' Junior Tournament this past weekend, which was a seven-team affair due to a late withdrawal.The bracket was modified with three "first round" games and Bishop Mac receiving a first-round bye.
First-round games went as follows:
North Park 52, WCI 35.
Lourdes 40, Bluevale 23
St. John's def. St. David
Bishop Mac, off their bye, knocked off North Park in one semifinal, while St. John's topped Lourdes in the other.
With the draw's modified format, North Park then moved over to the consolation side, where they defeated St. David in one consolation semifinal, 35-19.
The other consolation semifinal had WCI defeating Bluevale, 43-23. In their second meeting of the tournament, North Park knocked off WCI in the consolation final by a score of 41-32.
The Green Eagles (pictured) took home the tournament title, posting a tight win over Bishop Mac.
