D10: Thursday Results

Things generally went to form on Thursday in both the D10 junior and senior leagues; we'll start our recaps, as always, on the senior side:

Guelph CVI 43, Lourdes 33
My Pick:  GCVI by 3
Big win for the Gaels in this one, as they move into the top half of the standings.  Ijeoma Staunton (13), Cally Strongman (9) and Sydney Wilson (9) paced the Gaels, while Rainey Psenicka led the Crusaders with 11.

JF Ross 52, St. James 33
My Pick:  JFR by 15
Maddy Darling poured in a big 24-point effort as the Royals continued their winning ways.  Ali Darling added 13 for Ross, while St. James was led by Meghan Santi (12) and Donna Zen (9).

Bishop Mac 73, CWDHS 21
My Pick:  BMAC by 32
Tianna Sullivan, Dianne Priamo and Cindy Seke all had 12 points each as the Celtics cruised past CWDHS at home.  Nikki Sinkner had 12 for the Falcons.

Centennial 47, Orangeville 12
My Pick:  CCVI by 38
The Spartans moved to 8-2 with a big home win over the Bears.  Emma Cain (16) and Emma Korol (10) provided the double-digit efforts for CCVI, while Aracia Smith led ODSS with 7.

Junior
Bishop Mac 67, CWDHS 16
Like the seniors, there was an offensive explosion for BMAC in the junior game as the combined Celtics outscored CW by an even 100 points (140-40) during the two games.  Grace Drewry had 17 and Sophia Nash 12 for the Celts; Amandy Gray scored 8 for CW.

Centennial 32, Orangeville 14
Tya Milne, Daphiny Kung and Abby Cain had 6 each in the win for the Spartans, who (like their senior squad) moved to 8-2.  Melanie Glazier and Belle Virtue had 4 each for the Bears.

JF Ross 40, St. James 32
The Royals won a tight one against one of their rivals, backed by 14 from Alessia Bolzon and 12 by Catie Terrey.  Emily Andres led the Lions with 12.

Lourdes 43, Guelph CVI 19
Hannah McIntosh had a nice 18-point effort and Jessica Mathieu added 11 for the Crusaders in this win, while Emina Bektic was strong in defeat for the Gaels with 13.
