To be fair, Thursday looks like the key date on the schedule this week (BCI/GRCI & JHSS/CHCI among the offerings) but we'll see if the following games can provide any upsets:
Southwood (5-4) at Elmira (5-4)
My Pick: EDSS by 5
A very important match-up here for playoff positioning --- it's a toss-up, but the Lancers have been playing very well of late so I'll go with them at home.
KCI (4-5) at Preston (2-7)
My Pick: KCI by 19
The owners' of the league's toughest schedule (the KCI Raiders) should be able to even up their record at .500 today on the road, provided they don't underestimate a Preston Panther bunch that are scrapping for a playoff spot.
Eastwood (2-7) at WODSS (2-6)
My Pick: WODSS by 11
Speaking of fighting for playoff spots, that's exactly what these two teams are in the midst of. I'll go with the home Crusaders here.
WCI (7-2) at SJAM (4-5)
My Pick: WCI by 24
After losing to Bluevale last Thursday, I look for the WCI Vikings to get back in the win column today at the expense of their other Waterloo rival, the SJAM Highlanders.
Huron Hts. (1-8) at Grand River (9-0)
My Pick: GRCI by 35
The Rens will make 10 WCSSAA wins in a row by taking care of the Huskies at home.
Galt (5-4) at Jacob Hespeler (9-0)
My Pick: JHSS by 18
The Ghosts are one of the hotter teams in the league right now, having started the season 0-4 but now sporting a 5-4 record. That said, the JHSS Hawks are too strong here.
Cameron Hts. (8-1) at Forest Hts. (0-8)
My Pick: CHCI by 38
The Gaels should be able to handle FHCI today, provided they aren't looking ahead to Thursday's big game.
