WCSSAA Tuesday Picks

YTD:  42-6 (.875)

With teams coming off of the Thanksgiving holiday, it will certainly be interesting to see if any teams are a little less sharp than usual --- not necessarily due to being stuffed with turkey, but with the missed practice time on Monday.

Here go the picks:

Southwood (4-3) at Cameron Heights (6-1)
My Pick:  CHCI by 22
After dropping a heart-breaker last Thursday to Grand River, I think the CHCI Gaels will be itching to get back in the win column --- and should be able to accomplish that at home today.

Galt (2-4) at WODSS (2-4)
My Pick:  WODSS by 7
Two teams that are on the upswing as of late, with the Ghosts having won two straight and the Crusaders taking home victories in two of three.  I'll go with the home team here in what should be a close one.

Preston (0-6) at Huron Hts. (1-6)
My Pick:  HHSS by 3
Again, another close game that may have a big impact on the (future) playoff picture.  Kiana Chin and the Huskies have a slight edge on their home floor.

Bluevale (6-1) at SJAM (3-4)
My Pick:  BCI by 24
The Knights look to keep a first-round playoff bye (top 4 teams) in their sights, and should improve their chances with a win over SJAM today.

Jacob Hespeler (6-0) at Eastwood (1-5)
My Pick:  JHSS by 35
The Hawks should be able to go on a bit of a run over the next three games --- I see them at 9-0 heading into a huge October 23rd showdown with Cameron.  That said, they still can't overlook Eastwood here.

Elmira (3-3) at Forest Hts. (0-6)
My Pick:  EDSS by 16
Depending on the results today, the Lancers could put at least a game (possibly 1.5) between them in 7th and the 8th place team with a win.  I think they'll take care of their part today.

KCI (2-4) at Grand River (6-0)
My Pick:  GRCI by 18
The tough schedule for the KCI Raiders continues, this time against Grand River.  The good news for Raiders fans is that, after today, their remaining opponents have a record of 6-20.  The bad news is that Grand River should win this one.
