The top 3 seeds all advanced in the D10 quarterfinals on Tuesday afternoon, while #5 JF Ross beat #4 St. James in the 4/5 game.
As such, Centennial and JF Ross will advance to the AAAA CWOSSA playoffs next weekend in Kitchener.
Here's a rundown of today's results:
(1) Bishop Mac 83, (8) Orangeville 25
My Pick Was: BMac by 47
No trouble for the Celts (as expected). Alex Quintieri had 17 to lead the way, while Michael Clouthier had 15. Dave Humphrey led ODSS and all scorers with 18 of the Bears' 25 points.
(2) Lourdes 55, (7) Centre Wellington 34
My Pick Was: Lourdes by 21
Picked this one straight on, so I'll pat myself on the back for that because it doesn't happen too often. Lourdes' balanced attack was led by Max Raab and Chris Watson with 12 each. For the Falcons, Travis Laitar led them with 9 points.
(3) Centennial 61, (6) Guelph CVI 47
My Pick Was: CCVI by 11
Looks like Jonah Hopkins was the lone Gael to show up in this one. He had 28 points, but the next highest GCVI scorer was Landon McLaren with 5 points. The usual suspects were hard at work for Centennial ---- Erik Sterne (20), Ed Gray (17), and Aleks Kaludjerovic (11).
(5) JF Ross 67, (4) St. James 64
My Pick Was: JFR by 6
The Royals squeak by the Lions in a high-scoring thriller. Mike Friesen poured in 27 points for Ross in the victory, while Goran Kliska added 12. Ronald Kinga had 28 for St. James in a losing effort. The Lions will play Centre Dufferin next week in a play-in game for an AAA CWOSSA berth.
