WCSSAA Senior: Scores, Standings, Playoff Matchups

Thursday's Scores....

Bluevale 77, Forest Hts 50
My Pick Was: BCI

No trouble for Bluevale here as they finish the regular season undefeated. Stefan Cvrkalj had 26 points for BCI, while Taylor McNaughton notched nearly half of the Trojan points (24).

Elmira 66, Glenview Park 52
My Pick Was: EDSS

Firstly, congrats to the Lancers on making the playoffs. Eric Alderice had a huge game for Elmira, pouring in 36. Mark Saris had 24 points for GPSS.

Cameron Hts 60, Grand River 48
My Pick Was: CHCI

The Gaels avoid slipping in the playoff picture by beating the Rens. Nebojsa Djeric (19) and Stefan Cucak (17) led the way today. Robel Ogbahans joined the 20+ club with 22 while teammate Brodi Verbiski added 12 for Grand River.

Southwood 63, Huron Hts 22
My Pick Was: SSS

Brian Doran nearly outscored the Huskies as he finished with a game high 19.

WCI 62, Waterloo-Oxford 40
My Pick Was: WCI

Jasper Wesson paced WCI to their 10th win of the year by pouring in a game-high 16. Kyle Weber was the other lone player in double figures, as he led W-O with 15.

SJAM 83, Eastwood 33
My Pick Was: SJAM

Two days after scoring 33 points, the Highlanders put up 83. Go figure. Matthias Hamm had 22 for the Landers while Kwame Botchway added 10. Zaman Sindy had 17 for ECI.

KCI 70, Jacob Hespeler 34
My Pick Was: KCI

The Raiders get tuned up for the playoffs by blowing out JHSS and earning a bye in the process. Arben Kalaba had 23 for the Raiders, while Joel Perkins led the Hawks with 12.

Preston 49, Galt 29
My Pick Was: PHS

The Panthers will get another shot at the Rens after dispatching of Galt. Abe Upshaw (15) and Sean Holmes (11) were tops on the day. Nic Bradford had 8 for GCI.

Cameron/SSS tiebreak:
(1) Record vs. Common Opponents ..... both teams losses all came against top 4 teams (BCI/SJAM/WCI/KCI). Tie.

(2) Strength of Schedule Tiebreak - goes to Southwood. I had it calculated earlier but forgot to include today's wins (i.e. the EDSS win for today was the one that boosted SSS into 5th place, as Cameron did not play EDSS. SSS wins the tiebreak 74-73).

***Please note that the above is unofficial and I can be wrong at times!***
