Facing some stiff competition, the Bishop Mac Celtics went 1-2 last weekend at the Junior Rimrocker tournament in Peel Region.
The Celtics opened with a hard-fought 53-45 loss to St. Joan of Arc (Maple/York Region). Owen Brombal netted 18 for Bishop Mac in the loss.
On Friday, the Celtics defeated Pine Ridge (Pickering) 56-46, thanks to 23 more from Brombal before dropping their finale to Brampton D'Youville 78-43. Jesse Kendall had 12 for Bishop Mac in that loss, which eliminated the Celtics and allowed D'Youville to advance to the playoff round.
