Resurrection 64, Huron Heights 59
In what would have been arguably one of the biggest upsets in recent memory, the Huron Heights Huskies came very close to upsetting the CWOSSA "AAAA" #1 Resurrection Phoenix today in opening round action at the St. Benedict CSS tournament. The Phoenix were able to prevail 64-59.
The usually smooth-shooting Phoenix could not get untracked against the Huskies' 2-3 zone, while guard Sean Samuel finished with a 20+ effort (don't have exact stats as of yet) by slicing and dicing the RCSS defense. He likely almost hit 20 points at the free throw line alone.
Tyler Schneider came through with a 20+ effort as well for the Phoenix to help them pull out the win.
Bluevale 67, Bishop Mac 29
