A couple of scores to report from the Brantford Collegiate Tournament:
In an exciting game that was close throughout, the Centre Dufferin Royals held off the Holy Trinity (Simcoe) Titans by a 50-49 final. Down 50-44 with around 1:00 to go, the Titans made one final push but after a Josh Johnson three-pointer with :07 to play (that made it 50-49), time simply ran out on the comeback attempt.
Johnson had 20 to lead Holy Trinity while Kevin McDonald added 16. Marco Zanette had a game-high 21 for CDDHS; Doug Costanzo added 16.
In an earlier game, the home-court Brantford CI Colts came back against the Glenview Park Panthers to come away with a 36-34 win an advance to the championship side of the draw.
The Colts will play Centre Dufferin tomorrow; Glenview Park and Holy Trinity will battle on the consolation side of the bracket.
