A double-header yesterday in D10 regular season play saw the St. James Lions top the Bishop Macdonell Celtics in senior play, while the Celtics turned the table in the junior game.
The senior Lions were victorious by a 54-33 final, backed by 18 points from Ryan Higgins and 10 from forward Alex Campagnolo. Guard Justin Manarang had 9 for the Celtics in a losing effort. These clubs are likely to meet in the first round of the playoffs as well, but there is still a lot of basketball yet to be played.
In the junior game, the Celtics continued their winning ways, staying undefeated with a 64-48 win over St. James. Ben Morris and Owen Brombal had 15 each in the win, while St. James' Liam McCormack led all scorers with 18.
