YTD WCSSAA: 38-9 (.809)
YTD D10: 26-4 (.867)
Tuesday - WCSSAA
Southwood (3-4) at Preston (0-7)
Pick: SSS
The Southwood Sabres should continue the PHS Panthers' losing ways --- but they shouldn't take them lightly as the Panthers do have the offensive weapons to be able to pull out a win here.
SJAM (7-0) at Eastwood (3-4)
Pick: SJAM
Assuming the Highlanders aren't overlooking the Rebels for their matchup on Thursday with the Bluevale Knights, they pick up their 8th win of the season here.
KCI (4-3) at WODSS (3-4)
Pick: KCI
A big game here between two clubs currently in the mix for the "AAA" CWOSSA berths. I think KCI gets closer to securing one of them with a win today.
Forest Heights (7-0) at Bluevale (6-1)
Pick: FHCI
Game of the day here. These teams met on Saturday in the SBCSS tournament, with FHCI coming out on top. I just flipped a coin for this pick --- it landed tails, which is Forest Heights. So I'll go with them again today.
Galt (2-5) at Huron Heights (2-5)
Pick: HHHS
Assuming the Huskies' egos aren't too bruised after Saturday, I think they get back in the "W" column at home today. Huge game here as far as "AAA" CWOSSA implications are concerned.
Jacob Hespeler (2-5) at Glenview Park (2-5)
Pick: JHSS
Going with the size of the JHSS Hawks here in another toss-up down in Cambridge.
Cameron Heights (6-1) at Grand River (5-2)
Pick: CHCI
Another rematch from last weekend (final of the East Side's Tournament in Guelph). The Rens opened up an early lead, while the Gaels roared back in the second half to force OT and take the win. I again expect a close affair, and I'll stick with the Gaels today.
WCSSAA Junior Picks (for fun)
PHS over SSS
ECI over SJAM
KCI over WODSS
FHCI over BCI
GCI over HHHS
GPSS over JHSS
CHCI over GRCI
D10
Guelph CVI (2-8) at Orangeville (0-9)
Pick: GCVI
I like the Gaels to get their third win against a hungry Bears team in Orangeville today.
Lourdes (6-4) at Centennial (6-4)
Pick: CCVI
Big game for the Spartans, as a win here will go a long way to help them keep the CW Falcons behind them in the standings (which is key for the second "AAAA" CWOSSA berth behind JF Ross). I'll take them at home today.
Bishop Mac (1-8) at Centre Wellington (5-5)
Pick: CWDHS
The Celtics showed some good things on the weekend, advancing to the consolation semifinals at the SBCSS 32-team tournament --- included in that run were some decent wins (i.e. Kitchener Eastwood). They go against a bit tougher opponent today; I like CW to win this one going away.
JF Ross (10-0) at St. James (9-1)
Pick: JFR
The one team that stands in the way of the Royals and a perfect regular season is the St. James Lions. Ross won the first meeting by 13, so the Lions will need a 14+ point victory here to win the season series. That said, I think I have to go with the unbeaten club in this one.
