In the Hamilton Spectator three-point shootout (part of the annual Silver Fox Basketball Tournament), Bluevale guard Stefan Cvrkalj had a nice showing, finishing 2nd overall in a very competitive field.
In fact, Cvrkalj finished 2nd overall of the 20 competitors, just behind Newmarket Denison guard Kevin Pangos, who is also going to be suiting up in the NCAA Division I next year for Gonzaga University.
Cvrkalj opened with a score of 15 in his first round, but lit up a second-round score of 20 points for a total of 35. Only three competitors had total scores of 30 points or higher.
Pangos opened with a first round score of 22 (breaking the previous single-round record of 21) and followed that up with a 21-point effort in round two, giving him 43 points and broke the previous total record of 39 points.
