At first glance, there are definitely some intriguing potential intra-CWOSSA matchups that could result --- as you'd expect in a quality tournament with 6 CWOSSA teams (of 8 participants).
Play gets under way tomorrow morning at 10am with a big game right off the bat between the host Spartans and the SJAM Highlanders.
Other CWOSSA teams include the KCI Raiders, Grand River Renegades, Assumption College Lions and the Cameron Heights Golden Gaels.
The out of town representation is Frontenac CVI (Kingston) and Stephen Leacock CI out of Scarborough. Both should add to the quality of the tournament; Leacock in particular is 4-1 in TDSB East play right now with their lone loss coming to a quality West Hill team by single digits.
Here's tomorrow's first round action:
SJAM vs. Centennial - 10am
Stephen Leacock CI vs. Grand River - 11:30am
Assumption vs. KCI - 1pm
Cameron Heights vs. Frontenac - 2:30pm
Second round games will also go on Friday. Saturday starts with two "friendly" games between the losers of Friday's evening action, while the consolation championship is at 1pm and the tournament championship at 2:30pm.
