Two CWOSSA alums had some excellent performances in America East conference play last night, although only one of them came out on the winning end.
Freshman Murphy Burnatowski (SJAM/NEDA) narrowly missed his career high by pouring in 13 points on 5/11 shooting and 3/6 from three-point range. Unfortunately for him, his Maine Black Bears fell to 6-3 in conference play by falling to Vermont 64-51.
Meanwhile, on the women's side, senior guard May Kotsopoulos poured in 18 points on 7/14 shooting including 3/5 from three-point land as the Catamount women defeated Maine 64-44. She added 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals and played all 40 minutes of action. Vermont is tied for second in the America East with an 8-2 conference record.
