The Bishop Macdonell Celtics and the WCI Vikings both participated in the Etobicoke Rams classic this past weekend --- a high profile tournament featuring some of the top teams from across Ontario.
On Friday, the Vikes opened up with a 48-36 win over Louis Riel (Ottawa) before dropping their second game to Bill Crothers SS (Unionville) by a 49-38 count.
In their Saturday games, the Vikes played two "friendly" games --- winning over Sudbury Lockerby (45-28) and dropping a 49-46 decision to Hamilton's Westdale SS.
Bishop Mac opened up with a loss to Lockerby (51-32), before reeling off three consecutive victories to capture the consolation title:
53-39 over Jarvis Collegiate
49-41 over Louis Riel (Consolation Semifinal)
61-54 over Oakville Holy Trinity (Consolation Final)
A full list of results can be found here; St. Anne's of Tecumseh were the tournament champs, beating Burlington Notre Dame 43-38 in the final.
