Here's a quick look at the remaining schedule for WCSSAA and how I anticipate the playoff picture might shake down ---- of course, there's a reason as to why they play the games so don't be surprised to see a couple of upsets before all is said and done!

Hi Mark
ReplyDeleteHow much do you think that Alyssa Shortt's injury will effect WCI?
WCI has some tremendous depth --- I don't see it being a major factor at the WCSSAA level, but going into CWOSSA (and possibly OFSAA), that is where you could see an injury to a key player like that having an impact.
ReplyDeleteCWDHS in the D10 lost a key player in Jaime Janssen but the tema has rallied and done well in the few games since. I guess time will tell if WCI ends up rallying as well.....
Mark can you post a similar playoff picture thing for WCSSA Juniors?
ReplyDeleteShortt is overrated. She will win MVP since WCI will roll through WCSSAA. Wrong choice.
ReplyDeleteThe real MVP is Michelle Hudyn or maybe Erin Robbins.
Although I wouldn't use the term "overrated" to describe Shortt, with regards to your MVP comment I'll agree that if you took away Hudyn or Robbins I think those teams would not be two of the top clubs looking at possibly advancing to CWOSSA.
ReplyDeleteI guess the flip side to that comment would be that the Vikings have more balance/depth.
The Vikings for sure have more balance and depth. Plus they have 2 great coaches and a budget to play in the top tournaments just about every weekend. But coaching is the key at WCI. If you swapped coaches from WCI and Cameron I'm pretty sure Cameron would be undefeated. I'm not saying the Cameron coaches don't put in a good effort. it's just that there's no question who has the knowledge and experience to develop and guide a championship team.
