The #9 seed WCI Vikings used a fourth quarter comeback to defeat #14 Glebe CI in "round of 16" action at the OFSAA AAAA championships today in Hamilton.
The Vikes trailed 35-26 after three quarters, but used a 17-6 push in the final frame to come away with the 2 point win. They actually trailed 41-39 with :26 remaining in the game.
WCI advances to quarterfinal play tonight at 6pm, but face a daunting task. Their opponent will be St. Mary's CSS of Hamilton, the #1 seed in the tournament. St. Mary's has defeated Brantford St. John's a couple of times this year.
Still, there's a reason they play the games, so good luck to WCI!
