Despite playing without star guard Stefan Cvrkalj, the Bluevale Knights were able to win their first round game at the SOSI Tournament in Hamilton, defeating Ancaster SS by a 59-37 final.
Adam Zack had 19 in the win, while Perrin Smith added 10.
Meanwhile, the WCI Vikings were defeated by London's HB Beal Raiders by a 62-34 score. Trey Langford had 20 for Beal, while Adam Copp netted 13 for WCI.
The Knights will play Burlington Nelson (78-58 winners over ACMT in their opener) tomorrow morning at 10:30 in a championship quarterfinal.
