WCSSAA & D10 Picks: Thursday

D10 YTD:  19-3 (.863)
WCSSAA YTD:  28-6 (.823)

WCSSAA - 3:30pm Starts

Jacob Hespeler (0-5) at Preston (0-5)
Pick:  PHS
One of these teams will get their first win today.  I'm going with Preston at home.

Cameron Heights (5-0) at SJAM (5-0)
Pick:  CHCI
With (I hear) Ben Reyhani's status in question for this one, I think the safe thing to do here is take Cameron on the road --- but will they be due for a let-down after their big win over Bluevale?  Guess we'll find out.

Galt (2-2) at KCI (3-2)
Pick:  KCI
The Raiders might be the surprise team in WCSSAA this year.....how many times have we heard that before in recent years?  I think they should win a close one at home against GCI today.

WODSS (3-2) at Huron Heights (1-4)
Pick:  WODSS
Don't look now but the W-O Crusaders may also improve to 4-2 before the break if they can get past Sean Samuel and Huron Heights.  It would be a big win for them if they can do it, as they have a bit tougher schedule after the break, starting with Cameron Heights on January 6th.

Forest Heights (4-0) at WCI (3-2)
Pick:  FHCI
The veteran FHCI Trojans should beat the (more) youthful WCI Vikings today in Waterloo.

Southwood (2-3) at Glenview Park (2-3)
Pick:  SSS
With both teams currently teetering on the edge of the playoff picture as we approach the halfway point, these clubs are in need of a win before the holidays.  Edge to Southwood, though Glenview does play well at home.

Grand River (3-2) at Eastwood (2-3)
Pick:  GRCI
A rivalry game, so it might end up close but I like the Rens to be ahead at the end.

D10 Picks

Centennial (5-2) at JF Ross (6-0)
Pick:  JFR
Always a great rivalry game when these squads get together.  I'll take the Royals at home.

Guelph CVI (2-5) at Centre Wellington (3-4)
Pick:  CWDHS
Both teams are in need of a win before the holidays, but I'll stick with Centre Wellington in this one.
