The St. Mary's Eagles and Forest Heights Trojans both advanced to the final of the 4th annual Knights-Vikes Classic, which will take place at 7:30pm this evening (at Bluevale Collegiate).
The Trojans got past Waterloo St. David 62-51, thanks to 27 points from rookie guard Javon Masters and another 16 from Srdjan Stanivuk. Dan Hummel (20) and Tyson Lavigne (18) were the leading Celtic scorers.
Meanwhile, St. Mary's had no problem with Guelph St. James, as the Lions were missing three starters due to prior work commitments --- the Eagles cruised to a 57-34 win. Alex Thompson had 17 for SMHS, while Ryan Higgins led the Lions with 8.
