Only two "official picks" will be made on the three games scheduled today. It's not that I'm avoiding a particular game or anything, but it should be noted that Resurrection CSS' senior team will not be playing the Doyle Mustangs today.
Instead, the RCSS juniors will be making the trek to Cambridge to do battle with Doyle's varsity team (which is mostly grade 9s and 10s anyways).
Here's the other 2 games on the schedule:
St. David (2-1) at Rockway (2-1)
My Pick: SDCSS
An important game here between two clubs with winning records. The Celtics, however, have had a tougher schedule and I look for them to prevail comfortably here.
St. Benedict (1-2) at PRDG (1-3)
My Pick: SBCSS
The PRDG Chevalier have shown that they can score the basketball against the "AAAA" schools in D8, putting up 44 points against SMHS and 38 against Resurrection. I look for them to have another solid offensive game here, but look for the Saints to be ahead by double figures at the end.
