D10: Thursday Results

Senior

JF Ross 46, St. James 33
My Pick:  JFR
The Royals got it done defensively against the high-octane Lion offense.  In fact, they held Ryan Higgins to 6 points (Alex Campagnolo led STJ with 8).  For Ross, grade 11 rookie Mike Friesen led the way with 9, while Jack Cornett added 8.

Centennial 67, Lourdes 55
My Pick:  OLOL
The Spartans make sure I wouldn't go perfect across my WCSSAA & D10 picks with a road win at Lourdes.  Serge Khayipangi (25) and Erik Sterne (19) both had great games for CCVI, while Mike Finoro had 14 for the Crusaders.

Centre Wellington 46, Bishop Mac 41
My Pick:  CWDHS
Scoring details were unavailable from source, but a nice win for CWDHS as they even up their record at 2-2 on the year.

Guelph CVI 75, Orangeville 49
My Pick:  GCVI
Emin Spahic poured in 31 points as the Gaels cruised to victory over the winless Bears.  Todd Jaspers-Fayer added 9 for GCVI, while ODSS was led by Josh McCallum (14) and Kyle Holmes (10).

Senior D10 Standings
1.  Centennial 3-0
2.  JF Ross 2-0
3.  St. James 3-1
T4.  Centre Wellington 2-2

Junior

JF Ross 55, St. James 49
Nice home win for the Royals in a battle of two teams that many think are "top 4" teams in the league this season.  Kristian Van De Kemp (17) and Nolan Ireland (15) led the way for Ross, while the Lions received 18 from Mitchell Marquis and 15 from Liam McCormick.

Guelph CVI 71, Orangeville 55
Tyler Beaton poured in 15 and David Wesley-James 13 for GCVI as they win a high-scoring affair with Orangeville.  Tye Tucker had 15 for ODSS.

Lourdes 52, Centennial 47
The Crusaders earned their first win of the season by topping CCVI.  Stephen Gade (17) led Lourdes while Andrew Chapman added 10.  CCVI received 11 from Jeremy Seed.

Bishop Mac 81, CWDHS 52
The Celtics continued their torrid offensive pace as they top 75+ points for the fourth consecutive game.  Owen Brombal (18), Jesse Kendall (16) and Ben Morris (10) had double-digit efforts for BMac, while CWDHS actually also had three players in double figures ---- Braewyn Bird (12), Josh McEachern (11) and Marcus Van Massow (10).

Junior D10 Standings
