In NCAA action on Tuesday evening, big performances were put up by a couple of CWOSSA alums in helping their respective squads to victory.
Both Murphy Burnatowski (Maine) and Imad Qahwash (Central Arkansas) cracked the 20+ point mark on Tuesday evening as follows:
Maine 74, Penn State 64
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (AP)—Murphy Burnatowski scored 20 points and Terrance Mitchell added 17 as Maine beat Penn State 74-64 on Tuesday.
The Bears (6-5), who won their fourth straight game, led by double digits for the majority of the final 10 minutes and by as many as 15 points. Maine shot 53 percent (20 of 38) from the field. Penn State got to within seven points on three different occasions in the final four minutes but could get no closer.
The Nittany Lions shot 39 percent (20 of 57) from the field and made only 7 of 23 3-point attempts (30.4 percent).
The Nittany Lions (7-4) got 26 points from Talor Battle and 18 from David Jackson but will head into Big Ten play having dropped two straight games. No other Penn State player had more than six points.
Maine, paced by 14 first-half points from Burnatowski, led 31-24 at halftime.

Central Arkansas 81, Lyon College 67
CONWAY, Ark. (AP)—Imad Qahwash scored 21 points to lead Central Arkansas past Lyon College 81-67 on Tuesday night.
Carlos Dos Santos had 19 points and a game-high eight rebounds for the Bears (4-8). Mike Pouncy added 12 points and T.K. Smith 11 for Central Arkansas.
Slater Belew led Lyon College (6-5) with 20 points. Tyler Sergent had 17 points and Aaron Farris 12 for the NAIA Scots, who led only once in the game, at 12-11.
Central Arkansas led 40-28 at halftime and kept a double-digit lead for the last 17 minutes of the game.
