WCSSAA: Senior Results & Standings

Things are starting to get a bit more sorted out in the WCSSAA league after Thursday's games, which involved a couple of "3-0" teams squaring off.  Here's how it shook down:

Bluevale 64, WCI 48
My Pick:  BCI
Stefan Cvrkalj had his usual solid game against the rival Vikes, pouring in 28 points in the win.  Perrin Smith added 10 for Bluevale, while WCI received 13 each from Jacob Ranton and Alex Copp.

Cameron Heights 48, Eastwood 40
My Pick:  CHCI
The Gaels stayed undefeated by topping rival ECI.  Grade 11's Vedran Dmitrovic (14) and Nem Simic (13) led the way for Cameron, while the Rebels got 10 from Gondor Teny and 8 from Mirza Zahic.

SJAM 68, Grand River 66
My Pick:  SJAM
Sounds like a great game down in Kitchener, as the 'Landers sneak out a two-point win.  Grade 10 big-man Quinn Turner had a solid outing, pouring in 22 points for SJAM, while Ben Reyhani added 18.  Grand River star Brodi Verbiski had 20 points and fellow ren Daniel Harun chipped in 14.

WODSS 52, Galt 38
My Pick:  WODSS
The Crusaders get win #2 on the year at the expense of Galt CI.  Coulton Roe (16) and Andy Trimmel (8) were the leading scorers for WODSS, while GCI received 11 from Tyler Audet and 9 points from Nic Bradford.

KCI 67, Huron Heights 63
My Pick:  KCI

The Raiders had a nice 2-0 week to put themselves right where they want to be heading into a more difficult part of their schedule.  Three Raiders had 13 points --- Lazar Dobic, Graham Notar-McLean, and Alex Galea.  Sean Samuel had a senior career-high 27 points for HHHS, while Shayan Butt added 18.

Glenview Park 70, Preston 64
My Pick:  PHS
Props to the Panthers --- GPSS that is --- for pulling this one out on the road against a tough Preston squad that's come within single digits of some of the top teams in the league.  Erist Wame was a big reason why Glenview won, as he poured in 33 points.  Mark Saris added 16 more for Glenview, while PHS received 22 from Chris Ackie and 13 from rookie Wes Meertens.

Southwood 44, Jacob Hespeler 37
My Pick:  SSS
Four Sabres accounted for all of Southwood's points --- though I can guarantee you these totals aren't 100% accurate.  That's because if you add them up, you'll have 46 points, not 44.  Anyways, the "listed scorers" for SSS were Brian Doran (13), Mack Collins (11), Josh Parsons (11) and Todd Eagedorn (11).  Josh Kirkham had 11 to lead JHSS while Joel Perkins and Brendan Vandyken chipped in 9.

FHCI - default win (Elmira)
