A D8 flavour to news & notes today with the D8 games from yesterday......

D8 Midget Schedule Continues
The D8 midget schedule continued last night, with Resurrection again holding off St. David 36-32. Jamie Hiller continued his dominance, scoring 22 points. He is now averaging 24.0 PPG in league play.

Rez Continues Dominance of Doyle
Speaking of dominance, the Resurrection Phoenix defeated the Monsignor Doyle Mustangs 73-32 last night, continuing their D8 winning streak (15 straight D8 regular season & playoff combined) and their winning streak against Doyle. Resurrection junior coach Chris Aldworth, in fact, hasn't lost to Doyle in his decade or so at the helm........which brings up the question as to if Doyle has ever beaten Resurrection in boys basketball since Rez's inception? I'd be curious to hear from you historians out there.
