D10 Tuesday Picks

Improved to 19-3 (.864) in senior picks with the Lourdes win over Bishop Mac on Monday. That said, I was a little surprised with the final margin (45 points).

Anyways, here are Tuesday's games in the D10 league:

Lourdes (2-4) @ Orangeville (0-5)
Line: Lourdes by 21

I think the Crusaders will continue their "win streak" in Orangeville.

GCVI (1-5) @ Bishop Mac (1-5)
Line: GCVI by 7

Have to go with the Gaels, who have been looking a lot better as of late. Can't say the same for the Celtics right now.

St. James (6-0) @ Centennial (6-0) **Game of the Day**
Line: CCVI by 4

Should be a great game at CCVI (4:00pm tip time). I think the Spartans will use their experience in close games to pull out another one.

JF Ross (3-2) @ Centre Wellington (4-2)
Line: JFR by 5

Huge game in terms of the potential AAAA CWOSSA implications down the road. Ross has been coming on of late, and I think they get the win on the road here.

Caught the games tonight at lourdes. To echo your comment - the celtics are missing connor wood big time, the team is struggling under new coaching.

The JR game had the highest intensity of any junior game I've seen. Both teams were disciplined and used their benches extensively. Also the refs did a great job of not overblowing their whistles and let the teams decide the outcome. Gotta catch the next one for sure.

  2. Agreed. I can't remember a junior game where both teams executed so well on offense. Both teams were patient and poised in the face of each other's unrelenting defensive pressure.

I can't remember when I have seen a game with such pace either. The ball was up and down the court with impressive speed, both when passed and dribbled. Unlike the teams from Toronto that play fast paced styles as well, this game had the pace but players were still under control and could finish.
