WCSSAA Senior Picks - Monday & Tuesday

Upon request, I'll try to have these posted a day before the games. Note that there is a rare Monday game scheduled today as well (Preston @ Elmira).

Not the greatest opening day, as I went 6-2 (.750) in both the junior & senior ranks. Hopefully will go 7/8 or 8/8 to boost the percentage up above 80%, which is where I would like to be for the duration of the season.

Anyways, here goes.....

Preston (1-0) at Elmira (0-1)
Pick: Preston
Line: PHS by 10

After an impressive opening win against Jacob Hespeler, the Panthers might be better than initially suspected. I look for them to go 2-0 with a win over Elmira.

Cameron Hts (0-1) at Bluevale (1-0) **Game of the Day**
Pick: Bluevale
Line: BCI by 7

Should be an excellent game over at Bluevale (5pm), and it will feature two of the best scorers in the WCSSAA league --- Stefan Cvrkalj (BCI) and Stefan Arezina (CHCI). Knights to win at home.

Eastwood (0-1) at Waterloo (1-0)
Pick: WCI
Line: WCI by 27

After an opening win against FHCI, the Vikes again look like a team to contend with this season. They shouldn't have any issue with the Rebs at home.

Waterloo-Oxford (0-1) at SJAM (1-0)
Pick: SJAM
Line: SJAM by 33

The youthful WODSS Crusaders are learning to grow up quickly --- Bluevale, SJAM and Forest Heights are the first three clubs on their schedule. SJAM to win easily here.

Forest Heights (0-1) at Grand River (1-0)
Pick: Grand River
Line: GRCI by 8

FHCI can't really afford too many more losses, especially this early in the season. I think the Rens have a bit more depth (especially in the backcourt) and will get the W at home.

Glenview Park (0-1) at Galt (0-1)
Pick: Galt
Line: Galt by 13

About 10 years ago, these were maybe the top 2 teams in the league. Times have changed. Galt gets the win.

KCI (1-0) at Southwood (1-0) **Upset Special**
Pick: SSS
Line: SSS by 4

Should be a close one down in Cambridge. Going with the home-court Sabres over my alma mater.

Huron Hts (1-0) at Jacob Hespeler (0-1)
Pick: JHSS
Line: JHSS by 10

I think Matt McIntyre's Hawks will get back on track against the Huskies.
