Bluevale guard Karsten Beney was among Mark Bryson's Top 10 High School Athletes of the Week. The following excerpt is from Bryson's High School Sports Blog:
Karsten Beney, Bluevale: The Grade 12 guard had two solid outings last week as the Knights improved to 4-0 in the Waterloo County senior boys basketball league standings. He scored 20 points on Tuesday in a 63-36 romp over Glenview Park and added 12 in Bluevale's 51-49 win over SJAM on Thursday. Beney took the heat off Bluevale star Stefan Cvrkalj in the second half as SJAM double-teamed the game's top player. Beney also plays with the Knights football squad.
