University of Maine freshman forward Murphy Burnatowski (SJAM/NEDA '09) got the start on the weekend at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse as his Black Bears visited the 7th ranked Syracuse Orange.
Unfortunately for Maine, the Orange were not kind hosts, and routed them by a 101-55 score (Syracuse shot over 65% from the floor in the game).
Burnatowski, who has now started the last 2 contests for Maine, scored 3 points in 24 minutes of action (1-4 FG/1-2 3PT, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 turnover).
On the season, he is averaging 3.0 PPG and 2.3 rebounds while shooting .444 from the floor and .429 from three-point land (3/7).
